Marketing & PR Coordinator, The Spencer on Byron Hotel
After obtaining my Master's Degree from Toulouse Business School, I worked for two years as a Press Attaché in a communication agency.
Then I moved to French Polynesia where I found a job as a journalist in a local TV weekly magazine.
At the moment I live in New Zealand where I work as a Marketing & PR Coordinator for The Spencer on Byron Hotel, which is gonna host the French national rugby team during RWC 2011.
- Build brand awareness and development
- Create new promotional material for new campaigns and promotions
- Design online adverts and magazine/newspaper/brochure adverts using Adobe Photoshop and In-Design
- Update Advertising Media Schedule and Market Status Report regularly
- Work with Director of Marketing to design and update hotel collateral as required
- Develop and maintain social networking presence on Facebook & Twitter etc.
- Update content on the hotel website using the Content Management System
- Develop Email Direct Marketing using Dreamweaver and Business Catalyst
- Assist in the writing of press releases, their distribution and follow-up
- Organize interviews and liaise with French journalists
- Develop and maintain the online presence of the hotel on tourism related sites
- Maintain and update website listings for the Spencer Hotel on 3rd party tourism sites
- Maintain & develop current and future databases
- Monitor competitor activity on a weekly basis
- Maintain good and clear lines of communication with all other departments within the hotel
- Complete design work for other department staff when required in consultation with the Director of Marketing
2008 - 2010- Managing the thumbnail layout
- Searching for information and images
- Writing magazine pages (leading article, TV and movies subjects, international celebrities news)
- Formating and correcting TV programs
- Rereading and correcting the entirety of magazine before printing it
2006 - 2008- Managing regional and national press relations for several accounts
- Providing media coverage for my client’s current events by writing press releases and press packs, getting in touch with journalists and organizing interviews
- Organizing events, press conferences or press travels
- Writing, formating and editing a newsletter and a journal
- Managing crisis communication and media alert
